While people don’t talk about them as much as they talk about cancer and diabetes, stomach diseases are pretty common. In fact, there are no boundaries stopping stomach illnesses from happening. Talk about heartburn and you will find millions of people in just about all the big countries suffering from this disease. Perhaps, you have been suffering from stomach issues as well. There is not a day that goes by without you going to the toilet several times. You keep complaining of diarrhea and your friends have named you with its association too. What could be wrong?
In a case where your stomach problem does not seem to go away, it might indicate two possibilities. First, you have a serious and chronic condition with your digestive system and you need to visit a doctor as soon as possible. Second, you are intolerant to something that you eat almost daily. For example, people with celiac disease cannot live normally for as long as they have gluten in their daily diet. Now, gluten is not something easy to get rid of. There are other similar conditions that can cause such permanently bad condition of your stop.
One possibility is that you have lactose intolerance. Lactose intolerance causes your stomach to have a reaction after eating dairy. Every time you eat a dairy product or dairy in its pure form, you are putting a lot of lactose in your body. This is a type of sugar and it needs to be broken down by your digestive system just like many other types of sugars. However, the enzyme lactase, which is responsible for breaking down lactose, is lacking in your stomach. As a result, your body gives a reaction every time you put in something that it cannot digest. You’d either have to quit dairy or reduce its consumption to minimum to avoid this condition.
